How to Register

Registration can be submitted by completing the online form. Registration must be completed by 16 March 2020 to take advantage of the cost savings applicable to the Early Bird Rate.

We encourage all delegates to register online for instant confirmation. Registration fees are quoted in Australian dollars and are inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Go Event Travel Card


WAIMH 2020 delegates have the opportunity to purchase a Go Event Travel Card for ease of travel on the Brisbane public transport network. The Go Event Travel Card is specifically designed for Congress delegates and allows delegates to pre purchase cards for unlimited zone travel throughout Brisbane during the Congress.

You can purchase your Go Event Travel Card through the online registration form. Your Go Event Travel card will be available for collection along with your name tag on site at WAIMH 2020.

The Go Event Travel Card is not valid for use on the Airport Train (AirTrain). For delegate discounts on the AirTrain service please click here.

Accommodation cancellation date: 1 May 2020

The WAIMH 2020 Secretariat has confirmed rooms at nearby hotels for the benefit of Congress participants. You are encouraged to secure your accommodation when you register to ensure that you receive competitive rates, negotiated for the Congress. Accommodation can be booked via the registration form; please see the Accommodation page for more information.

Method of Payment

Registration can only be confirmed once payment is received.

Payment can be made by any of the following methods:

  • Credit card: Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted. If you are making a credit card payment from a country outside Australia, for security reasons you must first advise your banking institution of the impending charge and authorise them to allow the charge to Australia to go through. Please note that charges to your credit card will appear as being from "ICMS Australasia Pty Ltd" on your bank statement.
  • Bank transfer: Please include your surname in the transfer and email the transfer receipt (remittance) to the Secretariat
  • Cheque / Bank draft: Made payable to the Congress of the World Association for Infant Mental Health 2020 (WAIMH 2020). Payment must be made in Australian dollars and free of all charges.

Payment Deadlines

Early Bird Rates Close: 16 March 2020

Registrations received up to the 16 March 2020 deadline must be paid in full in order to receive the Early Bird discounted registration rate.

Registration Cancellation Policy

Deadline: 7 May 2020

Cancellations must be notified in writing (e-mail is sufficient) to the Congress Secretariat. Cancellations made by 7 May 2020 will result in a full refund less AUD150 to cover administration costs. As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person by 7 May 2020 without incurring any cost penalty. The Congress Secretariat must be advised in writing of any alterations or transfers. There will be no cancellation allowance for failure to secure a visa to Australia. The Organising Committee reserves final decision on a case by case basis for granting a cancellation in extenuating circumstances. It is recommended that travel insurance be secured personally upon registration.


All best endeavours will be made to present the program as printed on this website. The Congress and its agents reserve the right to alter without prior notice, any of the arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating to the meeting, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The Organising Committee and the Congress Organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Organising Committee and the Congress Organisers do not accept responsibility for loss of monies caused by delays. Participants are advised to take out personal travel insurance and to extend their policy to cover personal possessions. The Congress does not cover individuals against cancellations of bookings or theft or damage to belongings.

In registering for this congress relevant details (name/country) will be incorporated into a delegate list for the benefit of all delegates, and also may be made available (if necessary) to parties directly related to the congress including venues, accommodation providers, sponsors, key suppliers and future Congresses. Your name and contact information may be used by the Congress Secretariat and other approved stakeholder, for marketing and managing this and future events of this type.

Congress Postponement

In the event of a postponement all registrations will automatically be transferred to the new Congress dates. All components of your registration including accommodation bookings, pre-Congress institute registration, Congress Dinner ticket, Welcome Reception RSVP, go event travel cards and Masterclass selections will also be transferred. If you are unable to attend on the new dates, you may contact the Congress Secretariat to request a transfer of your registration to a colleague at no cost, or request a cancellation and refund which will incur a $150 administration fee up until the Registration Cancellation Deadline.

Congress Cancellation

In the event of the cancellation of the Congress, all registrations and associated components of attendance will be cancelled and amounts refunded in full.
